Herting, 202/326-4160 The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to award a competitive fixed price type contract to a search firm currently providing searches for missing people in the United States and overseas. The services sought include: search and verification of current address; and reports on the results of their findings, e.g.; number of validated addresses (finds) at each level of search, cost for each level of search, number of ''no finds.'' Additional requirements may include mailings to participants. Offerors should be able to search within and outside of the United States, and should have records on people back to 1986 as a minimum. Offerors should be able to access credit bureaus, mortality records, motor vehicle registration, drivers license records, voter registration, phone directories, birth records, social security information, and post office addresses, to name a few sources. Services may include contacting neighbors, relatives, and previous employers as required by PBGC. The provider should have an extensive data base and access to the entire United States, as a minimum. Offerors who are unable to search outside the United States, will be considered, but may not be considered among the most qualified. It is anticipated that the period of performance for the base year will be from date of award to September 30, 1997, with four one-year options for renewal. Requests for copies of the solicitation must be in writing and must reference RFP No. 97- 0002. No telephone requests will be honored.
