S -- CHILD CARE SERVICES SOL N00189-97-R-0010 DUE 013197 POC Marlene Chambley, Contracting Officer, (804) 444-4831 The Government will be contracting to civilian child care centers for child care services in the vicinity of U.S. Navy bases in the Hampton Roads, VA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Jacksonville, FL; and the Everett/Bremerton, WA areas. Offerors shall be certified by the National Academy of Early Childhood Program (NAECP) or in the process of receiving the accreditation, state licensed, and meet minimum insurance requirements specified in the solicitation. Conditional awards will be based on the child care center obtaining NAECP accreditation; children shall not be accepted under the contract until NAECP accreditation has been received and approval granted by the Contracting Officer for commencement services. Within six months, if not accredited, the Government will terminate for the Convenience of the Government at no cost to either party. Period of performance is 01 February 1997 or time of award which ever is later through 30 September 1997 with one additional option year. Preproposal conferences are currently scheduled for the week of 6 January 1997 for the Hampton Roads, VA and Jacksonville, FL area and the week of 13 January 1997 for the Pearl Harbor, HI and Bremerton/Everett, WA area; details will be specified in the commercial solicitation. A Firm Fixed Priced type contract is anticipated. All resposible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Written or facsimile requests will be accepted.
