Y -- CONSTRUCT SHORELINE PROTECTION STRUCTURE SOL PWEDPX-5170-0012 POC Contract Specialist JENNY K YATSUSHIRO (808) 438-8569 (Site Code XXCA83) The Army intends to negotiate a supplemental agreement with McConnell-Dowell (American Samoa) Limited, under Contract No. DACW83-96-C-0002, Repair of Cyclone Damaged Portions of Route 1 Shore Protection, Island of Tutuila, American Samoa. A Justification & Approval citing U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, has been approved. The work involves providing labor, material, equipment field sketches, and revised contract drawings as necessary to construct approximately 400 LF of shoreline revetment similar in cross section to the current contract requirements. An additional 600 LF may be added at a later date. McConnell Dowell (American Samoa) Limited, the proposed sole source contractor, currently has a construction contract with the Corps of Engineers to construct approximately 1850 LF of shoreline revetment. The estimated cost of the proposed project is between $250,000 and $500,000. See Note 22.(0330)
