The National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) is soliciting bids for the refurbishment of two (2) each 10-Meter buoy hulls. Vendor to provide all necessary management, labor and material to overhaul 2 each 10-Meter discus buoys. The general scope of work includes drydocking and launching the buoys; conducting required inspections followed by submitting Condition Reports, and repair proposals; mechanical overhaul and refurbishment; and surface preparation and painting of the buoy hull, superstructure, and interior compartments. Vendor will provide towing to and from the vendor facility. Buoys will be picked up from and returned to the United States Coast Guard Pier, Terminal Island, California. Buoys are to be refurbished consecutively. Each refurbishment expected to last 25 to 30 days. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Estimated issuance of IFB is December 16, 1996 with bids due 30 days after issuance. Firm Fixed Price contract. Site visit is required prior to award.
