38 -- S-280 FORKLIFT SKIDS WITH ISOLATORS PLUS INSTALLATION FEE PER SKID SOL N00421-97-Q-5063 POC Terri Meunier, Contracting Officer, (301) 862-8318. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division has a requirement for 6 ea of a S-280 forklift skids with isolators and 6 ea of the installation fee per skid per statement of work including drawings. The statement of work establishes the performance, design an inspection requirements for the s-280 forklift skids, with isolators. The S-280 forklift skids with isolators must have the capability to safely move shelters to and from deployed cites. The S-280 forklift skids with isolators must be made of 6061-T6 grade aluminum and be at least 12 feet in length. The aluminum plates must be 1/4'' thick to prevent the forks from puncturing the shelter floor. The plates on the bottom underside of the shelter floor shall come with hardware. The skids must include shock mounts installed and shaped like a channel. The skid installed with the legs and shock mounts pointing up, fitting inside the skid mounting bracket. The skid mounting bracket and the skid must be attached together by long through bolts that fit into slots in the mounting bracket and through holes in the skids. This allows the skids to move up and down inside the mounting brackets. The S-280 forklift skids, with isolators must withstand weights of 8000 pounds or more. The installation of the S-280 Forklift Skids shall travel to NAWCAD facility to install the skids. Delivery is required FOB Destination to Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Bldg 115, MS-9, St. Inigoes, MD 20684 within 30 days after contract award.
