This is a modification to a previously announced requirement. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to issue on or about December 15, 1996, a request for proposals to manufacture one Superpave Direct Tension Tester (DTT), validate and test the equipment, make adjustments as necessary, deliver and set-up the unit, then, upon the request of the government, manufacture, deliver, and install five additional DTT's. This will be issued as an RFP, and not a two-step sealed bid. The due date identified above is the APPROXIMATE due date for receipt of proposals. (0331)
