84 -- MEETING ON PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION FOR IMPROVED RAINSUIT SOL W13G07-CBD7-0008 POC Paul Borges (508) 233-4689 (Site Code DAAK60) U.S. Army Soldier Support Systems Command will hold an informal interactive meeting with industry and other government agencies week of 13-17 January 1997 at the U.S. Army Natick RD&E Center in Natick, MA. The objective of this meeting is to review all aspects of the Performance Specification for the RAINSUIT, PARKA AN TROUSERS, WET WEATHER,CAMOUFLAGE. This review will also include review of fabric requirements and all applicable components of the specification. All industry and government recommendations will be reviewed, discussed openly, and evaluated for appropriateness. Subsequently, all acceptable changes will be incorporated in the final version of the Performance Specification. For non-attendees, separately written responses must be submitted not later than 15 Calendar Days prior to the meeting. All written responses will be reviewed and presented at the meeting. This government-industry cooperative team effort should benefit all parties and help establish a suitable Performance Specification for potential use in future procurements. Neither government nor industry participants at this meeting are under any obligations to each other for future endeavors or solicitations. Information provided during this meeting will be shared with all participants. No proprietary technical data will be discussed. No one-on-one discussions will be held during this meeting. No plans for future procurements will be discussed during this meeting. A copy of the Performance Specification will be provided to all interested parties responding to this announcement. Copies of this Performance Specification will be available upon request by 20 December 1996. Participation or non-participation in this meeting will not enhance or preclude future solicitation actions for the Improved Rainsuit. Specific meeting room location and times will be provided later during confirmation process. Request that each attending industry group not exceed 2 participants. Names of industry representatives must be provided by 10 January 1997.
