Service plans to issue a Request for Proposals to acquire a software
program presently available on the commercial open market (or an
adaptation thereof) for an X-Ray Equipment Operator Interactive
Training Program. The intent of this requirement is to provide
inspection personnel with consistant training in the operation of
specific models of X-Ray equipment, the interpretation of x-ray images,
the measurement of proficiency in using the equipment, the sharing of
image files and the customization, editing and input of new training
material. A draft statement of work will be provided to interested
vendors for review and comments. Interested firms should respond within
15 days of publication of this notice. Telephone requests will not be
honored. Written requests should be directed to the contract specialist
