The U.S. Customs Service plans to issue a Request for Proposals to acquire a software program presently available on the commercial open market (or an adaptation thereof) for an X-Ray Equipment Operator Interactive Training Program. The intent of this requirement is to provide inspection personnel with consistant training in the operation of specific models of X-Ray equipment, the interpretation of x-ray images, the measurement of proficiency in using the equipment, the sharing of image files and the customization, editing and input of new training material. A draft statement of work will be provided to interested vendors for review and comments. Interested firms should respond within 15 days of publication of this notice.
