is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6.

applicable): Dangerous preparations (mixtures or substances), certain
non-dangerous preparations. 5. Title, number of pages and language(s)
of the notified document: Commission Proposal for a European Parliament
and Council Directive Concerning the Approximation of the Laws,
Regulations and Administrative Provisions of the Member States Relating
to the Classification, Packaging and Labelling of Dangerous
Preparations, 54 pages, 11 languages (OJ C283). 6. Description of
content: The proposal will: Recast the present Directive 88/379/EEC,
its technical adaptations and derived Directives; adjust some of the
technical provisions of Directive 88/379/EEC; include in the scope of
the Directive: preparations dangerous for the environment; plant
protection products and biocides; extend some provisions of the
Directive to explosives and preparations that are not classified as
dangerous under the terms of the Directive but which may nevertheless
present certain dangers for users. 7. Objective and rationale: The
objective is to ensure on the one hand free circulation of chemical
preparations and on the other, to ensure a high level of health and
