CALL FOR PAPERS. NRAD/AFCEA JOINT *C4ISR* SYMPOSIUM, ``INFORMATION DOMINANCE FOR THE FORWARD DEPLOYED WARRIOR'' 22-24 APRIL 1997, SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA The Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center, Research, Development, Test And Evaluation Division (NRaD) and the San Diego Chapter of Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) are soliciting unclassified papers. Appropriate topics in C4ISR technology in support of the forward deployed warrior include but are not limited to: (1) The operational perspective of the CJTF, Marine Expeditionary Force, component commanders, Amphibious Ready Group, Carrier Battle Group, or Fleet Commanders; (2) an integrated vision of C4ISR such as joint missile defense, the challenge of operating a JTF afloat, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance or defense information infrastructure; (3) C4ISR tools to meet the challenge such as sensor to shooter architecture, tools for joint warfare, global connectivity, consistent land/sea/air/space operational picture, instant information for the warrior, modeling and simulation in support of warrior training, or human computer interaction; (4) warrior involvement in acquisition such as streamlined acquisition initiatives/successes, joint training analysis and simulation, JWID lessons learned and plans, advanced concept technology demonstrations, service battle centers concepts and implementation, joint battle center concepts and implementation. Deadline for one-page abstract is 15 February 1997.
