to issue a Request for Offer for the Replacement of 480 volt
electrical systems at various locations. The work includes the
furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and supplies necessary to
replace and refurbish electrical panels, switchgear, lighting,
transformers, motor generator sets and in Buildings 1200, 1201 and 1210
at the John C. Stennis Space Center, Hancock County, Mississippi.
Building 1210 is a critical location and will be accomplished in phases
which will be defined in an outage plan. All work shall be completed
within 200 calendar days in accordance with NASA/SSC Specification
200BK-GE02, 200BG-GE04 and 200BH-GE03 and applicable Drawings.
Solicitation packages will be released as soon as practicable whether
prior or subsequent to December 11, 1996. This procurement is 100%
set-aside for small business concerns. Construction Cost Range is
between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Only written requests for the
solicitation package will be accepted. Transmission of requests for the
solicitation package via telefax at 601-688-1852 or Internet e-mail to
jerry.misch@ssc.nasa.gov are acceptable. An Ombudsman has been
appointed to hear concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and
contractors during the preaward and postaward phases of this
acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the
authority of the contracting officer, or the selection official, but to
communicate concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations of
interested parties to the appropriate Government personnel and to work
to resolve them. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict
confidentiality in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection
process, or the adjudication of formal contract disputes. Interested

at 601-688-2123. Concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations
which cannot be resolved at the installation may be referred to the
