The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, intends to solicit proposals for the production of underwater (fresh/sea water) cables with molded on conncectors and for additional connectors. These cables carry power, signal, and data. All cables and connectors must be built and tested in strict accordance with the government drawings and test procedures. Prior approval will be required for any deviation(s) from these requirements. Some of the cables have Non MS connector used on them, and some of the connectors for particular vendor connectors specified on the drawings is not authorized. There are approximately 216 cables and 33 connectors to be manufactured. There will be two (2) delivery priods for the cables and connectors. Initial delivery of cables will be required 8 weeks after award of contract and final delivery will be 24 months after award. There are approximately 206 option quantities that will be included for some of the cables/connectors. Delivery of option quantities will be 16 weeks after exercise of option.
