The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, has a requirement to procure modular consoles which will accommodate a variety of computer, communications, display and operator interface devices. These consoles will house specific Government identified equipment. The consoles will consist of a front panel area (which will have an overhang for task lighting underneath), a worksurface area, and a lower stage area. The structure of the consoles will be comprised of an open-frame modular metal system with contour fabricated metal panels. The outer skin shall be made of metal with 16 gauge cold rolled steel. The height of the consoles cannot exceed a maximum of 42 inches in height. The consoles will consist of three types: Type 1 will accommodate three items of equipment, Type 2 will accommodate four items of equipment, and Type 3 will accommodate five items of equipment. The number anticipated for each type is as follows: type 1-4 each, type 2-10 each, type 3-3 each. In addition, one work table to match the consoles will be procured. Solicitation to be issued approximately 16 Dec 96 with proposals due approximately 30 days after issue. Delivery will be required within 45 days after date of contract award.
