C -- A/E SERVICES FOR PORTABLE EMERGENCY GENERATORS POC Bonnie Yager A/E services are required to provide architectural, equipment, plumbing and electrical construction documents (drawings with pertinent specifications) necessary to accomplish: 1. Conversion of Building one (1) Emergency Generator to a float mounted tractor transported portable generator, for servicing various structures and areas located at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System. 2. Self sufficiency of portable emergency generator. 3. Interface connection and necessary switching at each designated portable emergency generator service location. 4. Re-certification for underground usage of a new government stored fuel tank. 5. Installation of government furnished underground fuel tank to meet all prevailing codes to ensure functional/timely fuel delivery to meet operational needs of Building 5's current emergency generator. 6. Easy delivery of fuel to the underground fuel tank. Award of a contract is dependent upon the availability of funding. SELECTION CRITERIA: Each interested firm shall be evaluated on the following criteria: 1. Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactorily performance of the required services; 2. Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; 3. Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; 4. Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules; 5. Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project. Consideration is limited to firms having an existing design production office within a 75 mile radius of the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Palo Alto, CA. At least one member of any proposed joint venture must have an existing design production office within the geographic limitation. Joint venture or firm/consultant arrangements will be considered and evaluated on a demonstrated interdependency of the members to provide a quality design effort. Respondents must demonstrate capability to perform 80% of all contract services in existing production offices within the geographic limitations. This restricted to 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Interested firms are to submit two (2) copies of a current SF 254 and SF 255 to this office, ATTN: Bonnie Yager, no later than 3:30pm on December 30th, 1996. If a current SF 254/255 is on file in this office, all interested firms shall notify in writing of interest in current project. Facsimile responses will not be accepted.
