Notification is hereby provided of the intent of the U.S. Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) to issue a sole source request for quotation and purchase order award to Reed Consulting of West Lebanon, NH under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). A firm-fixed-price, level of effort term contract is anticipated. A total of 600 hours of effort will be solicited for performance during the months of January through September 1997. The SIC code applicable to this procurement is 8742 (size standard $3.5 million). The general scope of work is as follows: Provide to the Commander/Acting Director and senior laboratory management expert advice and assistance in development of a strategy for and demonstration of the criticality of the U.S. Army CRREL mission, capability, and technical products to the Army and Department of Defense (DoD). Prepare specific strategies and associated graphical products that provide the key information required for input to Army and DoD Laboratory studies relevant to the research and development (R&D) infrastructure. In addition assist in the integration of the CRREL strategy and materials into an overall strategy and relevance demonstration for the Corps of Engineers R&D laboratory community.
