The contractor will provide all plant, labor materials, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the following work which shall be in accordance with the Technical Provisions, Project Specifications and drawing. The work is not limited to the equipment and system components specifically mentioned but shall include the total system and facilities and shall include treatment of wastewater, corrective and preventive maintenance, minor maintenance and repair, operation of treatment facilities, report preparation, laboratory analysis and other services as defined in the Performance Work Statement, at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. The contractor shall perform maintenance and repair work on mechanical and electrical systems and equipment; this will require personnel with a variety of trades and specialized skills. The anticipated performance period is one basic year with four option years. Lajes Field is located on Terceira Island in the Atlantic Ocean 2300 miles east of Philadelphia, PA, and 900 miles west of Lisbon, Portugal.
