Z -- REPLACE WINDOWS AT BUILDING 101, NADEP, NAVAL AIR STATION, JACKSONVILLE, FL SOL Contract N62467-95-B-2523. POC OICC Office. This is a presolicitation notice only. Do not request plans now. A solicitation notice will be published before invitations are issued. The work includes, at Building 101 (Naval Aviation Depot-Admin.), removing 69 windows and one pair of double doors (north of Main Entrance), and installing 71 new steel windows and incidental related work. The former door opening will be in-filled with two new windows and new wall section, to match the adjacent wall in finish and material. All finishes disturbed-floor, wall, ceiling etc., will be repaired or replaced to match the existing finishes adjacent. Included also is the abatement of lead-based paint and materials in and around the existing windows. The exterior walls (including flashing) in the area of the project will be finished painted to match existing. New steel window frames (interior and exterior) shall be finish painted to match existing. The contractor will be required to complete the work in 195 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Following tentative dates apply: Issue invitations 12/96, open bids 1/97, complete contract 8/97. Estimated cost is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. (330)
