The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC has a requirement for the manufacture of the Cartridge 25mm Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot with Tracer (APFSDS-T) M919. The proposed quantity is 262,500 rounds. This round will be used by the Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV), and is designed to defeat a specific target by the use of a Depleted Uranium (DU) higher length to diameter penetrator, and high energy propellants. The contractor shall have experience in the fabrication, handling, and ballistic testing of DU penetrator and appropriate clearances and license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
