Services are required for design and engineering including plans, specifications and cost estimates for construction of three Passenger Rail Maintenance Facilities located in Seattle, Oakland and Los Angeles. Services will include design and engineering for the buildings only, all track work and site civil design will be performed by Amtrak. All field investigations and survey work will be performed by Amtrak and provided to the selected consultant. The purpose of this RFQ is to establish a short list of five A-E firms who will later be requested to provide a proposal for architectural and engineering services for one, two, or all three of the proposed facilities. Total construction value for the three facilities is expected to be between $120 and $180 million.
