NEW ITEM PROGRAM (NIP) Applications/offers sought from businesses who have developed new or improved commercial products that have the potential to provide more economical and efficient means for Federal agencies to accomplish their missions. Applications/offers will be evaluated/awarded through the General Services Administration's Commercial Products Acquisition Laboratory (CPAL), which will assign National Stock Numbers (NSNs) to products awarded under this lab. Applications must be submitted before March 31, 1997, to be considered for contract period beginning October 1, 1997. Applications received after March 31, 1997, will be considered for the contract period beginning January 1, 1998. All responsible sources submitting an offer will be considered by the agency.
