The United States Penitentiary, Leavenworth, Kansas, is soliciting for the services of medical care to federal prisoners. The Government prefers a multiple award contract to the contractors that can provide both inpatient and outpatient care at the contractor's facility. Services will be required for a one-year base period, with four one-year option periods for a total of sixty months from the date of award. Only medical facilities within a 50-mile radius from the institution will be utilized for inpatient/outpatient services. The estimated quantities for each period of the contract are as follows: Base period: Inpatient days -- 200, Outpatient visits -- 1000; Option period one: Inpatient days -- 200, Outpatient visits -- 1000; Option period two: Inpatient days -- 200, Outpatient visits -- 1000; Option period three: Inpatient days -- 200, Outpatient visits -- 1000; Option period four: Inpatient days -- 200, Outpatient visits -- 1000.
