Two vessels will be chartered during the period 9/1/97 -- 10/15/97. Charters will be in and around Little Port Walter, eastern Baranof Islands, and western Kuiu Islands in Southeast Alaska. Vessels must be 50' minimum and USCG-inspected. Skipper must possess a 100-ton Master Mariner license. Each charter vessel will transport a four-person scientific crew. Scientific crew may occasionally consist of five people. This is a 100% small business set-aside, see Note 1. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
