Wright-Patterson AFB has a requirement for an Electron Gun. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F33601-96-T-A312 is a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-40. This is a small business set-aside procurement. The associated Standard Industrial code (SIC) for this procurement is 3671, and the small business size standard is 750 employees. There is one line item for an Electron Gun. Description: Electron Gun, Mfr: Kimball Physics Inc., Model EMG 12 or equal, 100 electron volts to 20 kilo electron volts, electron beam generator with power supply, Model EGPS-12 including the following options: Firing unit assembly Model #FRA-EMG-12, with barium oxide cathode (BAOO), Beam Blanking option, pneumatically actuated faraday cup, mode #FC-12/PA-300, special low light barium oxide (BAO) cathode included installation and testing, high current option #HC-EMG-12, current up to 1 milliamp, UHV spool piece with support (for decreasing insertion distance of gun), deflection taster generator Model #RGDU-EMG-12, remote control unit, electrometer/high-resistance system, recirculating chiloler Model #CFT-750, quick disconnect water lines, UHV phosphor screens, Model #PHOS-UP-22GL-B7x7 R750, UHV phosphor screens, Model #PHOS-RP-22ss-BEXE R750. Model numbers are mfr. Kimball Physics Inc. or equal. Contractor shall supply one (1) set of commercial off the shelf operation and maintenance manuals to be delivered with the equipment. Standard commercial warranty is requested. All offerors shall submit literature demonstrating that their electron gun meets the requirement as stated above. Date of delivery is 90 days after receipt of order; place of delivery and acceptance is Wright-Patterson AFB OH 45433. FOB Destination. Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial Items (Oct 1995) is hereby incorporated by reference. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of provisions 52.212-2 are as follows: (1) technical capability of the equipment offered to meet the Governments requirements; (2) past performance; (3) price, in descending order of importance. Technical and past performance, when combined, are more important than price. All offers are to include with their offers a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commericial Items (available upon request). FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items (Oct 1995) is hereby incorporated by reference.
