Krutz, Contracting Officer, (601) 686-5361 The U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to procure a Chromatography Workstation with but not limited to the following specifications: Dual pump w/pressure range up to 1400 PSI and flow rate of 0.01 to 10 ml per minute; UV/VIS monitor with capability of reading from 190 -- 700nm in steps of 1 nm and 3 wavelengths simultaneously; conductivity unit capable of measuring 1 S to 999.9mS per cm; pH unit measuring 2-12 with accuracy of q0.1 pH unit, temperature compensated; Fraction collection capability with either 12 or 18 mm tube; Chromatography software with networking capability for real-time control of chromatography parameters; Buffer preparation capability should be built-in to speed-up chromatography. The system is to be delivered to the USDA, ARS, Southern Regional Research Center, New Orleans, Louisiana. An IFB will be issued on or about January 21, 1997.
