Tracy Holland, (301) 295-6490. The National Naval Medical Center
intends to lease three (3) complete Arthroscopic Tower Systems to be
used in the Main Operating room. This lease will include three one year
renewable options. Each system will include: (1) Endoscopic camera:
with autochutter, high resolution, one chip with controller camera
shall have white balancing. Resolution shall be minimum of 560 lines
horizontal by 450 lines vertical. Camera shall be auto focusing, with
a sealed 10 foot cord. Each camera shall be vented. The camera coupler
shall allow for single hand operation for coupling and uncoupling. (2)
Coupler ring: two spare units, consisting of vented camera/arthroscope
coupler rings, single hand operable, appropriate to the contracted
camera. (3) Video monitor: medical grade, color video monitor, 19 to 20
inches diagonal with a minimum of 0.28 dot pitch and 1024 x 760
resolution. Shall include connection through the use of a single
coaxial cable, as well as front panel R.G.B. control. (4) Video
endoscopy cart: to include appropriate sized monitor mounting tray,
based on dual direction, lockable, adjustable swivel arms. Shall
include securing straps for 20" monitor. Cart shall have five
retractable shelves and one storage drawer within a fully enclosed,
securable cabinet. Cart shall be mounted on four rubber tire casters
with foot actuated locks. Cart shall have a mounted power strip with a
minimum of six 110/220 grounded outlets, accessible from the front of
the cart while in use. (5) Light source: shall be xenon light source
with back up bulb ability. Shall be fully adjustable to light
intensity. Shall have easily viewed meter for hour count on current
xenon bulb. Shall be capable of accepting fiberoptic light cords
manufactured by a variety of vendors, otherwise known as a universal
adaptor. (6) Video printer: be a high resolution/definition medical
grade color video printer. Shall be compatible to fingertip control on
contracted camera. Shall include a battery powered, full featured,
cordless remote control. To include an alpha/numeric keypad for data
entry for printing directly on photo (i.e. patients name, etc.). (7)
Sucker shaver/drill: a control unit capable of variable speed, forward
and reverse control with digital display of "programmed" speed, as
well as "actual" speed. Shall have volume adjustable, audio alert when
unit is in operation. Shall include footpedal for operating control,
with separate pedals for forward and reverse. Shall include a fully
autoclavable (270 deg F) motor drive unit, capable of accepting a wide
variety of shaver/cutter blades, as well as drill/reamer tips with a
power cord for attachment to drive unit. Each shaver shall include a
fully autoclavable (270 deg F) sterilization tray designed for use with
contracted equipment. The government intends to issue a solicitation on
or about 07 Jan 1997. It is the intention to award a firm fixed price
single award requirement with two renewable one year options. All
