The U.S. Army Soldier System Command (SSCOM) is interested in locating manufacturers of EOD Suits. The EOD suit will provide protection from Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and U-Exploded Ordnance's (UXO) in the following threat categories: Blast Protection including shock wave impact and overpressure; Fragmentation Protection; Flame/Heat Protection; Impact/Bump Protection to both the head and torso. Primary components include a hlmet, jacket, trousers and faceshield/chestplate. SSCOM is searching for INFORMATION ONLY from manufactures or dealers interested in either providing individual EOD components and/or complete EOD ensembles. Interested firms should submit information of their products and capabilities in the area. Information should include available technology, product literature and illustrations, and relevant company background/xperience.
