SPECIAL NOTICE Notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with the University of Illinois, Champaign, IL under authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 for radar maintenance services and utility costs pertaining to the operation of the NOAA Flatland Radar on the University owned Bondville Field Station near Urbana, IL. The proposed contract is for 12 months and is a component of an arrangement which allows NOAA utilization of University property for operation of a stratospheric/tropospheric radar. This notice is for information purposes only. No solicitation will be issued. This procurement is being conducted pursuant to Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
