Pomraning, Contracting Officer (410-605-7156) The purpose of this notice is to identify interested capable sources which can provide a computerized "bed tracking" system which will allow hospital departments to maintain a clear picture of the status of beds at the VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS), 10 North Greene Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. This telephone-to-computer system should automatically inform various hospital departments when a bed needs housekeeping services, maintenance, is occupied or available. Firms having the ability to provide a system should notify the Contracting Officer, in writing, prior to January 20, 1997. Product literature and a price list should be included. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is NOT a Request for Proposals (RFP), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or an Invitation for Bids (IFB). The Government does intend to negotiate, sole source, with Concepts in Communications, Pittsburgh, PA, if no additional sources are identified. (0002)
