The National Imagery and Mapping Agency requires the procurement of SPOT imagery via the direct down link to a deployable ground station currently known as Eagle Vision. This deployable ground station is capable of programming and collecting panchromatic and multi spectral, imagery from the SPOT satellites. The Eagle Vision system development is being conducted under the Office of the Secretary of Defense's Foreign Comparative testing (FCT) program. The Eagle Vision system requires access time to use either of the SPOT satellites, receive and process satellite programming collection requests, and; transmit ephemeris and image data to the Eagle Vision system. The SPOT satellites are owned by the French space agency, known as the Centre National D'Etudes Spatiales (CNES). All activities involving United States remote sensing customers are the responsibility of SPOT Image Corporation (SICORP), Reston, VA. The proposed contract is for a base period proceeded by four (4) one-year option periods.
