The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Point Mugu CA, intends to procure a Launch Countdown System that includes Countdown Display Units and Countdown Generators (with spare boards). The primary function of the Countdown System is to provide countdown displays to all desired control spaces. The following specifications apply: COUNTDOWN GENERATOR (Initial requirement 8 units; Option quantity 2 units): Accuracy of 1/36,000 (1 sec for 10 hr countdown); Code Output: Modified IRIG-B3 (Open DATUM Standard) (seconds, minutes, hours, +/-, Hold, OP#); Carrier frequency 1,000 Hz; Code amplitude 0 to 5V p-p, adjustable; Modulation ratio 2:1 to 6:1, adjustable. Countdown: Range -9:59:59 to +9:59:59 (hrs: min: sec). Countdown Manual Preset: Countdown time and Operation Number are preset via thumb-wheel switches. Stop/Enter/Run: Stop, Enter, Run Functions are enabled through push-buttons on the front panel. Local/Remote: Local/Remote switch shall Enable/Disable all of the functions on the front panel. RS-232Interface: This Serial Interface shall provide the capability of remotely presetting time and operation number and controlling Stop (HOLD), Enter and Run. Display: +/- time direction, H for HOLD, Operation Number (0000 to 9999), Range -9:59:59 to +9:59:59 (hrs: min: sec). Power: 115 VAC, 60 Hz, 30 Watts max. Operations, maintenance and troubleshooting manuals for Countdown Generators and Countdown Display units shall be provided by the Contractor for all initial units. Standards: Two Industry Standards are applicable. The first Standard isthe Pseudo IRIG-B (Open DATUM Standard) used for the Time Code Generators and the Countdown Displays. The second standard is the EIA Standard RS232C used for serial transmission, required between the Remote Sequencer Computer and the Time Code Generators. Delivery of all units included in the initial requirement is required 140 days after contract award. Requests for solicitation should be submitted in writing to the above address no later than 15 days after publication of this notice.
