Propeller 4) Clean and Test Grid Coolers 5) Overhaul, Renew, and Test
Valves, Barge and Tender 6) Renew Closed Chocks 7) Inspect and Test
Deck Fittings and Chain Stopper for both Tender and Barge 8) Renew
Windows and Screen Assemblies 9) Preserve Barge Deck and Bilges 10)
Remove, Dispose of Diesel Fuel 11) Clean and Inspect Tanks 12) Provide
New Diesel Fuel 13) Remove Asbestos Containing Insulation & Recoat
Barge Compartments 14) Provide Temporary Berthing 15) Temporary
Logistics 16) Routine Drydocking Indefinite items include but are not
limited to the following: 1) Flat Plate Renewal 2) 4 Inch T-Bar (Steel)
3) Renew Upper and Lower Bearing Assembly 4) Preserve Underwater Body
and Spud Wells for Tender and Barge 5) Preserve Potable Water Tanks 6)
Provide Temporary Messing. Vessel length is 75 feet. Width is 22 feet.
Vessel Homepier is Mobile, AL. Restriction no open waters transits.
Vessel is Restricted from Brownsville, TX to Carrabelle, FL via Intra
Coastal Waterway. Vessel availability schedule is on or about 14 April
1997. Performance Period is scheduled for 42 calendar days. There will
be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 in the form of a certified check
or money order made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. Orders must be placed within ten (10) days of solicitation
issuance. The Proposed contract listed here is part of the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or after 23 January 97. This Notice is
for information purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $5000,000.
