The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) intends to award, sole-source, a modification to Contract MDA972-96-C-0005 with Northrop-Grumman of Baltimore, Maryland, for the "Enhanced Phase" of the SAIP Development Program. This phase will, in addition to increasing the optimum performance of the SAIP System, add to capacity/capability of the Baseline System Electro-Optical Site Monitoring, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Monitoring, and Enhanced Human/Computer Interfaces.
