58 -- HARDWARE REQUIRED FOR UPGRADE OF AN/UPX-24(V) INTERROGATOR SET SOL N00140-94-C-CA51 DUE 022497 POC J. Larry Mattingly, Contract Specialist, (301) 862-8119. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Patuxent River has identified a requirement to modify contract N00140-94-C-CA51 with Litton Systems, Inc., Data Systems Division, to procure a quantity of two (2) retrofit kits and two (2) Installation and Check-Out (INCO) Spare Sets to support system level enhancements to AN/UPX-24(V) Interrogator Sets being used in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) applications. The AN/UPX-24(V) is an integral component of the AN/UPX-29(V), a Central Identification Friend of Foe (IFF) System installed on AEGIS class cruisers/destroyers and LHD amphibious assault ships. Litton is the original equipment manufacturer of the AN/UPX-24(V), and is the only source possessing the technical capability, technical data, and requisite knowledge of the equipment to effect modifications and improvements to the system. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This notice is being issued to advertise the Government's intent to initiate a new procurement modification under contract N00140-94-C-CA51 to satisfy the stated requirement. Interested parties may identify their interest to respond to this requirement and may submit information which shall be considered by NAWCAD Aircraft Support Contracts Department.
