99 -- RECERTIFICATION OF SVHS TAPES SOL N00167-97-Q-9068 DUE 012397 POC Contract Specialist: Ray Park, 301-227-1121 Contracting Officer: Joyce Bell, 301-227-1113. The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Metrum Information Systems to obtain engineering services to recertify used Metrum SVHS tapes for use with a Metrum VLDS Model V102G. The VLDS-V102G2 used as part of the Element Recording Data System (ERDS) for recording operational data in the TUBA program employs high technology methods to provide a maximum bit error rate of 1 in 10(8). This degree of accuracy is a critical factor in the usefulness of ERDS data. Previously recorded and degaussed Certified Metrum tapes will be provided as GFM media for recertification.
