Thw Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center has a requirement for a 15 liter Double Planetary Mixer. The contractor shall provide this mixer in accordance with the following specifications: Change -can design for use with multiple mix cans, vertical lift for raising the stirrers out of the mix can, stainless steel contact parts, all non stainless steel exterior surfaces painted with 2 part epoxy coating, all elastomers to be Viton, stainless steel stirrers and stirrer shafts, sealed gearbox, explosion proof, mechanical variable speed drive for operations between 20 and 100 rpm orbital and stirrer blades on their own axis between 24 and 120 rpm,explosion proof motor is for 115/230 volts,single phase,60 cycle current, viton stirrer shaft seals, stainless steel vacuum hood, 1/2" npt half-coupling for vacuum exhaust,two combination sight and charge ports with Pyrex sight glasses and quick release clamps, stainless steel mix can designed for vacuum,internal machining for close blade-to-bowl clearance, stainless steel handles,cone type flush plug valve.
