(Site Code DAKF57) The previously published CBD notice has been changed as follows: This solicitation contains an approved justification to use other than full and open competition in the application for brand name descriptions. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Rgulation (FAR) 6.303 and 6.304, the justification indicates that the use of brand name descriptions is essential to the Government's requirements and thereby precludes consideration of other than the specified Double Check Valve Assemblies (DCVAs) for the ollowing buildings: A Febco 870V is the only approved DCVA for Building 2043, Repair Shop, due to space constraints; An Ames Model 2000 is the only approved DCVA for Building 2160, Gymnasium, due to space constraints. Therefore, only the specific DCVAs by brand name will be accepted in the resultant contract and prospective contractors are NOT permitted to offer other DCVAs for use in Buildings 2043 and 2160.
