PRESOLICITATION NOTICE -- Sources sought to repair and revitalize the existing 60 housing units with site and landscape improvements, construct a new Community Center with site and landscape improvements, and remodel and enlarge the existing Housing Office with site improvements and incidental related work complete and ready for use. -- The contract is to be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits the propoposal considered most advantageous to the Government considering "Price" and "Technical" evaluation factors. -- A preproposal conference will be scheduled, with a date to be published later. -- This is not a public bid opening. -- The estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately 400 calendar days. -- Proposals will be considered from all responsible sources. -- This project is unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1521 and the annual size standard is $17 million. -- It is recommended the subcontracting goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting effort. -- Proposers should request in writing stating RFP number N68711-96-R-2327, with complete name, address, area code and phone number and whether bidding as a prime/subcontractor/supplier. -- NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. -- Solicitation packages may be acquired in person from Plan Issue or by mail. -- Telephone requests will not be accepted. -- There will be a charge for plans and specs that is yet to be determined. The fee is non-refundable. -- Mail requests with a check payable to DEFENSE PRINTING SERVICE to Southwest Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (Plan Issue), 1220 Pacific Highway, Bldg. 132, San Diego, CA 92132-5187 or fax requests to (619) 532-2083. -- Fax requests will be accepted but, WILL NOT be processed until your check has been received by this office. -- Submit one (1) checkper project. -- Solicitation packages are limited to two (2) sets per prime and one (1) set per subcontractor/supplier. -- Tentative issue date is on or about 10 February 1997.
