Bowers E-MAIL: NISE East Charleston, dillardp@niseeast.nosc.mil. Hydrographic Sonar Suite (HSS) for permanent installation aboard new and existing 34 ft. Hydrographic Survey Launches (HSLs) of the Naval Oceanographic Office which are deployed worldwide for extended periods, often under adverse environmental conditions. The contractor shall provide an integrated system and in general consist of 1) a shallow water wide swath multibeam bathymetry system, 2) a medium depth single beam bathymetry system, 3) an attitude and heave sensing system, 4) a sound speed profiling probe, 5) a helmsman display and 6) a system control, data acquisition, and display computer. All equipment provided shall in general be of proven off-the-shelf technology with individual subsystems conforming to the solicitation requirements. Systems shall be properly integrated to operate independently or with concurrent configurations. The solicitation will specify requirements for system control, calibration, data logging, data qualify display, and preliminary data processing. Include options for installation support, acceptance testing, spares and training. The SIC Code is 3812 with a size standard of 750 employees. Anticipate a fixed price, indefinite quantity type contract with an estimated quantity of 2 to 18 HSS systems. Contract period of performance is one year and will include four one year option periods. Source selection will be under full and open competition evaluated on the basis of price, other factors and past performance as demonstrated in the proposal submitted.
