The Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD), U.S. Army Aviation
and Troop Command (ATCOM), proposes to award a delivery order entitled
"Advanced Maintenance Aid Concepts (AMAC) Demonstration", to existing
Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) DAAJ09- 95-G-0018. The objective of the
program is to design, develop, and demonstrate a prototype advanced
maintenance aid that specifies removal of components only when deemed
unserviceable and specifies conduct of component inspections within a
flexible maintenance schedule. The intent of AMAC is to stimulate
cost-effective flight-line maintenance support for the CH-47D
helicopter. The intended source for this acquisition is Boeing Defense
& Space Group, Helicopters Division. As the sole developer and only
source of engineering, maintenance and training support for the CH-47D,
author of associated troubleshooting procedures, algorithms, and
technical manuals, Boeing is considered to be the sole contractor
capable of providing the technical expertise required for this effort.
The proposed effort requires this specific knowledge and experience
due to the nature of the AMAC demonstration. Boeing Helicopters is the
only known qualified source for this acquisition, however, all
responsible sources may identify thier interest, capability, and/or
submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Requests for
this solicitation must be submitted in writing to the above address.
Requests submitted by other means will not be considered. See Numbered
