A -- AIRCREW MAINTENANCE INTERFACE DEBRIEF SYSTEM (AMIDS) DEMONSTRATION SOL DAAJ02-97-Q-0002 DUE 022197 POC Laurie Pierce, Contract Specialist, (757) 878-3306 / Linda L. The Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD), U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command (ATCOM), proposes to award a delivery order entitled "Aircrew Maintenance Interface Debrief System (AMIDS) Demonstration", to existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) DAAJ09-94-G-0009. The objective of the program is to design, develop, and demonstrate a hardware-software extension to the current Longbow Integrated Maintenance Support System (LIMSS) which will enable information possessed by the aircrew to be electronically captured and used directly in troubleshooting algorithms. The intended source for this acquisition is McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems (MDHS). As manufacturer and developer of the AH-64C/D Longbow Apache, and developer of the LIMSS including associated troubleshooting procedures and algorithms, MDHS is considered to be the sole contractor capable of providing the technical expertise required for this effort. The Government does not possess sufficient data or technical expertise to provide to another contractor to perform the effort. The Government does not own, nor does it have access to a technical data package to provide to offerors under a competitive acquisition. MDHS is the only known qualified source for this acquisition, however, all responsible sources may identify thier interest, capability, and/or submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
