MARKET RESEARCH -- The Defense National Stockpile Center is conducting market research to locate potential contractors with expertise to chemically convert approximately 60,360 pounds of amosite asbestos into an inert nonhazardous material. The asbestos is in a free, unpackaged state stored in a tank located at Seneca Army Depot near Romulus, New York. A cost type contract is contemplated. Closing date will be specified when solicitation is issued. Potential sources will be asked to participate in a market survey and furnish further information relative to this requirement.
