Concerns having the ability to furnish the following supplies and services are requested to give written notification, including a telephone number to the acquisition office listed in this notice within 45 calendar days from the date of synopsis. The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has a requirement for maintenance and repair and upgrade of software/equipment for a programmable master supervisory control and communication system (PMSC) which is located at the San Luis Projects Office, Alamosa, Colorado. It is Reclamation's belief that the Sutron Corporation of Herndon, Virginia, is the only firm available that is capable of providing this service of a propriety nature of the systems hardware, its integrated software, and firmware. Reclamation has relied heavily on Sutron Corporation and the incumbent Sutron Corporation staff is extremely familiar with the current specific operating environment at Reclamation. The contractor maintains working knowledge of the complete system including hardware, software and the different version requirements needed for compatibility within the system. The contractor has the ability to manufacture key components that may be needed if the components are not repairable. The contractor is upgrading the master station. Continuity of this upgrade is necessary to avoid in-operability of the system. This is not a formal solicitation. However, those that respond shall provide detailed data concerning their capabilities with their request to receive a copy of the solicitation when and if it becomes available.
