The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, Rhode Island d advertised on 13 June 1996 a requirement for laboratory maintenance and operation support for the Combat Systems Department. The laboratories presently include Life Cycle Support Facility, The Combat Control Systems Laboratory, the Combat Systems Technology Laboratory; they may in the future include other laboratories. That advertisement stated that the contract would contain a four-year period of performance -- this is now changed to a five (5) year period of performance with a total estimated level of effort of 593,400 man-hours. All requests for Solicitation N66604-96-R-A558 will be honored under the new Solicitation Number N66604-97-R-1607; potential offerors do not need to send a second request. Because of our requirement for a single, consistent management approach throughout the laboratories, the Government intends to make a single award. (0007)
