19 -- ENHANCED MARITIME PREPOSITIONING FORCE (MPF(E)) SHIP SOL N00024-97-R-2207 DUE 041197 POC Melanie Harvey, SEA 02225, Contract Specialist, 703/602-3102x229 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to complete the three (3) ship Enhanced Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF(E)) procurement by placing up to three (3) contracts for the engineering and detail design, conversion and delivery, and operation and maintenance for a five year period, for a total of up to three (3) MPF(E) ship(s). The number of contracts placed depends upon the outcome of current NAVSEA solicitation N00024-96-R-2200 for up to two (2) ships. A solicitation for up to three ships, minus the number of ships awarded under N00024-96-R-2200, will be released electronically on NAVSEA 02's World Wide Web home page at the following address: http://sea02www.navsea. navy.mil. The solicitation package can be located by its solicitation number and downloaded. Proposal submittals will include an exclusive letter of intent for the proposed ship, a feasibility design concept, and technical and cost proposals.
