The United States Postal Service is soliciting proposals for a Main Post Office of 5,690 net interior square feet to be constructed on a site of approximately 43,560 gross square feet in Lamont, CA. The basic lease term is twenty years with two separate and consecutive five-year renewal options. The site controlled by the Postal Service is located approximately 8/10ths of a mile south of the existing post office just north of the new Kern County Building. The site is 150 feet of frontage along Highway 184 to be subdivided from Parcel 2 of Parcel Map 8733 in the Unincorporated Area, County of Kern, State of California, as per map recorded 9/29/89 in Book 39, pages 35 and 36 of Parcel Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said county. The successful offeror will be required to purchase the site in accordance with an assignable option. Site cost is $97,500. Offerors are cautioned to consult with local county planning, building department, public works department and other related agencies (fire department, environmental health department, etc.) concerning additional requirements and/or fees prior to submitting a proposal. Offeror is responsible for including all construction costs in his offer as may be required by Federal and/or State and/or county and/or city governments having jurisdiction.
