necessary labor, equipment, tools, and materials for the demolition of
structures, removal of debris and site cleanup caused by hurricane
Andrew at the U.S. Dep't of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service,
Subtropical Horticulture Research Station, 13601 Old Cutler Road,
Miami, Florida. The contractor shall remove from the Government's
facility by hauling all trash, condemned buildings/structures, dead
vegetation, wood, scrap metal and junk according to the specification
of the contract. The contractor shall also provide all necessary
insurance, permits, fees, safety and protective equipment and covering
to load, transport, and dispose of the following: (1) Vegetation and
wood (not mulch) consisting of approximately 1.2 million cu. ft. (2)
Metal scrap, approximately 150,000 cu. ft. (3) Seven (7) metal and/or
screen standing sheds or buildings. These building/sheds are on
concrete slabs. THE SLABS SHALL NOT BE REMOVED! (4) Metal, wood,
plastic, junk equipment approximately 5,000 cu. ft. (5) Miscellaneous
junk and debris, approximately 2,500 cu. ft. Magnitude of the project
is between $25,000 to $100,000. Request for solicitation must be
submitted in writing or via FAX 706/546-3444 to Pat Lang, Procurement
Assistant. NOTE: QUANTITIES ARE ESTIMATES ONLY. The government provides
NO guarantees for any quantities stated above. BIDDERS are ENCOURAGED
to INSPECT the site prior to submission of their bid. Failure to do so
WILL NOT relieve the successful contractor from fully complying with
