Perkins, Contract Specialist, 202/324/2956. The Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) has a need to acquire maintenance services for an
existing PBX telephone system (Siemens ROLM Saturn IIE) originally
installed in April, 1987, and a satellite II-E cabinet installed in
1995. The main and satellite cabinets are tied together via T-1
Satellite Software. The system consists of: 996 ports made up of analog
trucks (Incoming only, Outgoing only, and Combination trucks), DID
trunks, and attendant console stations. Telephone instruments are a
combination of Dyads, Jr. Dyads, 2500 Type-instruments with Tap Button
and Message Waiting Light, and three (3) Attendant Consoles. The
system has an ISI Infortext Station Message Detail Recording System and
printer; Battery Reserve Backup System; and a Octel Voice Mail System.
The system is located in North Miami Beach, Florida. Period of
performance is from the service start date (May 1, 1997) with option to
extend the service one (1) additional year contingent on availability
of funds for FIscal year 1998. The maintenance service will begin as
soon as the successful bidder has received proper security clearance.
A walk-through of the site will be scheduled. This requirement will be
processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures
(SAP). The standard Industrial Classified Code is 1731. All responsible
sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, shall be
considered by this agency. Those interested in receiving a copy of

15 days from the date of this synopsis and will close 2/14/97. Award
