It must contain the following: maximum fiber concentration -- 25 fibers/cm3 (f/cc); minimum fiber concentration -- 0.0001 f/cc; coincidence count error -- less than 1% for fiber concentrations of less than 3 f/cc; fiber length detectability range -- 2 to 300 um; fiber diameter detectability range -- 0.2 to um; clean air false count rate -- less than 1 per 100 hours; measurement accuracy (when compared to NIOSH Method 7400) at 95% confidence level +or-5%; total sampling flowrate -- 2 liters/minutes; sensed flowrate -- 10cm3/minute; flowrate stability (long term) -- +or-1%; alignment field potential -- 3000V; selectable fiber length counting criterion -- >3, 5, 10 or 20um; selectable alarm modes -- 10 minute early warning alarm, time-weighted average early warning alarm -- default 0.1 f/cc; display and printout concentration resolution -- 2 significant figures for less than 100 fiber counts, 3 for 100 to 999 fiber counts, and 4 for more than 1000 fiber counts; display concentration/precision update frequency -- 1 per minute; display of fiber counts -- real time; time & data display/printout -- minutes & hours, day of month, month & year; time accuracy -- +or-1 minute/month or less; output -- digital -- RS-232, 1200 baud, standard, 2400 baud; operating temperature -- 0 to 40c; humidity range -- 30 to 90% RH; weight 12 kg.
