Contractor shall supply (1) RMS-II/670 PC based microscope and video remote measuring system with accessories and includes QM 100 BK7/MgF2 Corrector or equivalent. Contractor shall properly install equipment and provide on-site training. It is intended to award this contract to Questar Corporation, New Hope, PA on a sole source basis. Based on a market survey performed, Questar Corporation is the only found manufacturer of a microscope with a remote measuring system that has a working distance of 15 cm to 30 cm with resolution of 1.1 micrometers at 15 cm, a diffraction limited field of 12mm, motorized microprocessor controlled operations, multiple filter wheel selection and parfocalized magnification change, and the translaton stage has 3-axis motion and resolution of 1 micrometer as well as very accurate stepper motor control and very stable linear motion guideways.
