A -- ARMY ROBOTIC DEMONSTRATOR VEHICLE INDUSTRY DAY POC POC: Shannon tighe (810) 574-7230 This is not a request for proposal. This is a survey for information and planning purposes only. The u.s. Army Tank-Automotive and armaments command, research, development and engineering center (TARDEC) is working with the army research LAB (ARL) to develop requirements for a robotic vehicle demonstrator program. The main mission of this program is to develop, test evaluate and demonstrate robotic vehicles in FY2000 at the army's Battle Lab warfare experiment. This multiphase effort will seek an integration contractor to performing various tasks (evaluation of existing and new robotic vehicle platforms, design, development, evaluation and integration of individual robotic technology onto the vehicle platforms, manufacture three robotic prototypes and contractor support at the warfare experiments). Government-developed and industry-developed Technologies and capabilities will be made available under the integration contract. In preparation for issuance of the solicitation for the integration contract, TARDEC will host an industry day at TACOM (building 200 auditorium) on the 18TH and 19TH of February, 1997. The industry day will provide a forum at which the government can inform contractors of details of this program, as well as distributing draft copies of the statement of work and performance specification so that industry can review and make comments.
